This is my newly created song Nuit de Montreal (Montreal Night). Hope you all like it.\nThe inspiration hit me suddenly while listening to music in a cafe in Montreal — I started writing the lyrics at dusk and kept going until night. After that, it went through multiple rounds of mixing, arranging, and repeated lyric revisions. That’s why I named it in French: Nuit de Montreal (Montreal Night).\nOriginally, I planned to use both English and French:\n• English parts: Direct, rough, sexual, powerful, humiliating\n• French parts: Cooling down, sadness, detachment, the end, nightfallBut in the end, I cut most of the French lyrics and mainly used English, keeping French only at the very beginning and the very end. This made the whole song’s story feel more complete and cohesive.\nI also carefully edited every segment of Tifa’s musical motifs:\nIt starts with a statement, shifts tone in the middle, the rhythm speeds up, the song becomes intense and full of discontent, then explodes at the climax — overflowing with love and hate at the same time — before the music finally falls silent as Tifa is completely conquered.\nYet the lyrics themselves are written to be even more sarcastic and provocative.\nHope you all enjoy my song!
